Working Students

Can't get enough of being around horses?

Join our weekend working students. Our working students report to the barn bright and early to tack up and prepare the horses for a day of riding lessons. The experience allows our riders to learn first hand the care and maintenance of a barn of horses. Riding is not just about jumping  in the saddle. Our barn crew knows the hard work and care needed to keep our horses happy and healthy.

Love the horse and learn the care

Every weekend, our hardworking working students have to commit their time and energy into helping our instructors keep the barn running, have the horses ready and warmed up as well as assisting in the lessons. From turning out the horses, cleaning hooves to setting up jumps and side walking during Birthday parties, our barn crew keeps SIlver Shoe Barn running smooth

How does it work?

Our students love to ride and being a working student gives them the extra time and understanding of what being a equestrian entails. Our working students must commit a minimum of 2 days a month and 5 hours per day. For every 5 hours they volunteer, they earn a one hour free ride.
